“As the weather has been getting more and more gloomy, my mind has started to wonder towards booking another surfing holiday. So this is my surfer groom…
White suits feature a lot in beach weddings, so here I wanted to show how you could experiment with tones by capturing the spirit of the surf crashing on the shore.
Suit: Richard James, named as the leader of the “new wave” of tailors of Savile Row in the 90’s, who are not afraid of playing with colour. The SS13 collection is great.
Keeping with the light tonal colours, but adding some surfing attitude and personality with floral prints.
Shirt: Agi & Sam – “With a strong emphasis on entirely bespoke print and humour, we believe that fashion should never been taken too seriously”. I concur. Also British hailing from Yorkshire (where I studied) and Stafford upon Avon (I went to the theatre there last week), means I’m a big supporter.
Shades: Cutler and Gross – Immaculate handmade frames, need to be on everyone’s face.
Surfers: Unknown via
The expansive sea of blue gives way to the vibrant colours of the surfboards.
Handkerchief: Drake’s – A simple and understated gentleman’s accessory, silk handkerchief made in England with hand rolled hems.
Shoes: TOMS footwear – Are not British, but they are an amazing and I love everything they stand for. I’m obsessed with Latin America and the fact that TOMS was born out of a trip to Argentina adds to their appeal. They are truly inspiring. Their policy is to match every pair of shoes purchased with a pair of new shoes given to a child in need. One for One. I’m ordering mine now.”
