Jennifer and Ludovic live in London, met in Brussels and got married in Gijon, Spain, where the bride is from originally.
They had guests from all over the world join them for their nuptials, and from the 900+ wedding pictures I have seen, they had a very emotional ceremony, an incredible banquet (this region is known for its outstanding gastronomy), and tons of fun.
This wedding technically didn’t take place in the Mediterranean, because Gijon is located in the province of Asturias, which is actually on the Atlantic coast. Nonetheless, I just had to share this unique and beautiful Southern European celebration, it is full of heartfelt details and charm.
From the bride Jennifer: “I gave Ludovico a Tissot watch the day of our wedding as a symbol of our timeless love. One of the groomsmen had the watch from me and he gave it to Ludovic in his hotel room.”
Jennifer’s advice for brides-to-be:
“I would say that finding a great wedding planner is a must, as admin tasks and communication with the local providers can be time consuming and expensive. Also, the wedding planner ensures great communication with your guests, especially if they want to make it a holiday and/or have questions about anything. It prevents you and your family having to worry about logistics for every guest and allows you to do focus on what is important to you.”
“I did not want any flowers as there were so many in the gardens, I wanted to keep it minimalist and simple. Following an “eco-chic” type of theme, [our decor team] added the lovely coloured balls in the garden, the candles and jars on the table, etc..”
