How about that for a view for your destination wedding?? El Far is a boutique hotel on Costa Brava, Spain, that has only recently popped up on my radar as a wedding venue, and from what I see it is absolutely beautiful! No wonder Patrick and Sergi decided to have their wedding ceremony and celebration at this magical place.
A detail that I loved: The couple chose an olive tree as a symbol of their mutual commitment, saying their vows in front of it, and using it as a wishing tree during reception. After the wedding, they had it planted in the area, as a living reminder of their wishes together and the community from which they grow.
Kiss Me Frank captured the truly Mediterranean affair that transports us right back to summer on this grey November day…
About the wish tree, as read during the ceremony: “Like a tree receives essential nurturing through their roots, Patrick’s and Sergi’s relationship is grounded in the love, friendship and guidance received by their family and friends. As a way to celebrate this union, to which you are part, we invite you to write your wishes for them and for yourselves. Later in the day you will be encouraged to use these tags and hang them on this tree so that Sergi & Patrick may read, treasure and remember this day. When they travel to the United States for their third wedding, another tree, a crab apple tree, will be planted in Seattle in the same spirit.”
