I said it last week, and I’ll say it again: More and more couples decide to have an intimate wedding. Renee and Tim, who live in New York City, are another example of this trend.
And what destination could provide a more amazing backdrop for such a unique celebration, other than Capri? The couple trusted Capri Moments Event Design with the organization of their day, which started by getting ready in the hotel and having their portraits taken in town, to be followed by ceremony and sunset dinner overlooking the sea. Stunning, don’t you think?
From the bride: “All throughout our wedding day we kept saying over and over, “Amazing!” There were just so many things to be amazed by! We were on the beautiful island of Capri in Italy, the weather was perfect, and we had some of our closest family there to celebrate the day with us.
Our wedding planners had helped create a perfect day for us, which was especially important because we were arranging this destination wedding from our home in New York City. While we had been to Italy more than a few times together, we had only been to Capri once, but knew it was our place. Our planners are from Capri, which was very helpful because they know everything and everyplace on the island. But more importantly, they paid attention to every detail and took the time to understand what we wanted for our special day. In fact, before we had even met them in person, they understood us. Their suggestions about the ceremony location and restaurants were exactly what we would have chosen had we been there in person before we arrived in Capri for our wedding. Our wedding day provided amazing memories, captured perfectly with incredible photographs. Along the way we made new friends, and hope to visit Capri again every year. Amazing…”
From Capri Moments Event Design: “Renee and Tim had a slightly less-than-traditional schedule of events for the day, in part to help ensure they would have adequate time for photos that would provide exceptional images to preserve their memories of the day. Once everyone was ready, bride and groom were united, and the rest of the family joined for a champagne toast and a light lunch at our hotel, the Capri Tiberio Palace.”
“Next, it was time for the bride and groom to head out with the photographer, walking through the narrow streets of Capri, enjoying a fun ride in a classic red Fiat taxi, and savoring the many shouts of “Auguri!” (“Best Wishes!”) from the locals.”
“After the photo session, they reunited with their family, and everyone walked together to the site of the ceremony, not before stopping for a “spremuta di limone” or a fresh-squeezed lemonade, of course. They then continued on to a large terrace at the Punta Tragara hotel, overlooking the famous Faraglioni rocks of Capri, perfectly timed for the golden late afternoon light.”
“As the light continued to fade, it was replaced by the glow of seemingly countless candles nestled among countless flowers on a large dining table overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. The group enjoyed an authentic Caprese six-course tasting menu, and then we headed out under the stars to enjoy a “Millefoglie ai Frutti di Bosco” a traditional Italian wedding cake.”
