If I were to get married again today, I would probably do something like this. Seriously, every last detail of this Italy wedding organized by TuscanDream and photographed by Andreas Holm Photography, resonates with me: From the gorgeous Tuscan wine resort setting, the white and pink wedding flowers, mercury glass votives and vases, to the bride’s beautiful Laure de Sagazan dress – this wedding is one to my taste! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did first looking at it…
Claudia and Edward met through mutual friends during a night out in London. Says the bride: “We discovered we had the same taste for music so at the end of that night, Edward asked me for my phone. The week after, he invited me out for dinner and during that first date I remember thinking what a gentleman he was. Who would have thought five years later we would be getting married!”
The look on the groom’s face! Such happiness….
The bride on having a destination wedding: “We decided to get married in Italy because we had guests and family coming from everywhere in the world. Italy was a good excuse for everyone to take a break. We had a beautiful scenery and excellent food and wine.”
On finding the venue: “We booked a whole weekend with our wedding planner to see different places. It’s important to have a rough idea from the beginning in terms of numbers, dates and budget. That will help you take a decision. Booking the venue is probably the first and most important thing to do.”
The mapa mundi seating chart was designed and made by bride and groom.
Claudias’ advice for destination brides: “My first and best advice is to get a wedding planner. It’s so much easier to work with a local contact that can check things while you are in the distance. Our wedding planner was great and she always made us feel things were in control. Edward and I can both say that our wedding was one of the happiest and most fun days in our lives.”
The couple hand-wrote the menus and the table seating cards, can you believe it!
