Above shoes were worn by my son at his baptism (they’re traditional Catalan espardenyas), and I hope that the little girl I am carrying will wear them, too… Yes, I am thrilled to announce that I am 22 weeks pregnant!!
The first 3 months were a bit rough, but right now I feel wonderful, the only thing that’s really getting to me are my allergies and the fact that I can’t take my usual antihistamines, but other than that I am doing just fine.
My pregnancy is considered high risk, however, so it has not been a totally anxious-free 5 months. Some of you know that we have a four-year-old (who is slowly starting to realize that he’s going to be a big brother). After an easy and uneventful pregnancy and birth, our little boy suffered severe neonatal hypoglycemia, which unfortunately remained undetected for too long. As a result, he has got epilepsy and a global developmental delay. He is the cutest little boy, we love him very much, but having a special needs kid is tough and for the longest time I wasn’t sure I wanted another baby, although we had the doctors’ green light.
But now, feeling my little girl kick and seeing my son touch my belly, I couldn’t be happier!!
I feel quite confident and relaxed, just looking forward to enjoying the rest of my pregnancy. But positive energy and thoughts are always welcome, of course…
Thank you all for reading, I hope you don’t mind this personal post. I’ll be back tomorrow with the usual, inspiration for stylish Mediterranean weddings!
