I am not quite sure why I love the combination of lavender and lace so much. Maybe it’s because I associate both with France, with lavender fields in Provence and Chantilly lace?
In any case, I think using those two for a wedding is a beautiful idea. Imagine a reception in Southern France, a romantic bride with a lace wedding gown, lavender infused drinks and herbal table decor. While lavender gives the whole thing a rather rustic touch, the use of lace adds elegancy and a more classical wedding theme.
You can reinforce the classical ambience by adding further elegant elements such a silver chandeliers and cutlery, and combine the lavender with more traditional wedding flowers. If you prefer a rustic look, add burlap to your tables and use the lavender in combination with more mediterranean herbs (rosemary for example).
I’ll be back with more ideas for a lavender wedding tomorrow!
