So, those of you who follow me on Facebook or Instagram will know that almost three weeks ago I had the pleasure of attending the Pronovias runway show, traditionally the closing show of the Barcelona Bridal Week.
With the leitmotif “First Love”, it was an incredibly romantic show. Pronovias opted for beauty, emotion and just fabulousness: 60ies eyelashes and nude lips, and statement headpieces and veils (don’t you just love the first look, that combination of short dress and long veil?), and a sweeping soundtrack that made more than one front row viewer swing and sing along.
A new team of designers, under the collective name of “Atelier Pronovias”, did a great job in continuing the work of late creative director Manuel Mota, who had been with the company for 20 years.
Modern, elegant, at times a little theatrical…. there was something for all types of brides, and the show was thoroughly enjoyable and fun. I especially liked the gold accents and the use of lace… marvelous. But see for yourselves, and make sure to watch the video as well!
This one is my favorite – lace peplum, a show stopper!
“Elie by Elie Saab” brought (even more) glamour to the catwalk, right before the grand finale with Jon Kortajarena:
