We’ve been to Italy and Spain this week, so let’s visit Portugal for today’s post…
If there’s such a thing as a perfect combination of rustic and chic, then Clare and Ciaran’s big day is the epitome of it! With buckets of handmade elements, bursts of lovely pastel hues, hints of burlap cloth, and an unconventional charming bridal gown (I looove it!) – it’s hard to take your eyes of these gorgeous photos from Paperkite Photography, isn’t it?
The bride on finding her dress: “I fell in love with a dress I found on Etsy designed by Anya Getzlaf at Dionne Dionne. I took a leap of faith, sent all my measurements and Anya created a work of art for me – it was so exciting seeing it coming together and finally getting to open the box when it arrived in the post!”
On choosing the venue: “On one of our visits to the Algarve, Valerie (our wedding coordinator) drove us out to Os Agostos and we fell in love at first sight! We knew immediately that it would be perfect for the relaxed day we were looking for.”
“We really wanted to get married outside in the sun, somewhere special – somewhere our guests would feel relaxed and happy and warm! You can’t rely on weather in Ireland! We wanted a beautiful rustic venue that would make every element of our wedding look amazing!”
On their DIY work: “All of our stationery was handmade – the invitations, table numbers, menus and place names. We also hand painted our C&C burlap table runners and gave the florist pieces of burlap for the bouquets”
