If I had to pick my top three Spanish wedding photographers, Marcos Sanchez would undoubtedly be among them. Why? Because I like the way he sees things. Marcos’ vision is elegant, clean and romantic, but with a certain edge that is so characteristic of his photos. What can I say, I am a fan, and am really proud to have him as a sponsor on the blog.
This is what the photographer has to say about himself and his work philosophy:
“I’m Marcos, and if somebody had told my 20 year old self that I would end up being a wedding photographer he would have laughed at him. Life is strange, and one day, by chance, you discover something that despite all your prejudices, makes you happy. That’s wedding photography for me.
A groom said once that he liked weddings because it’s a day when people allow themselves to express aloud things they wouldn’t say any other day. And that’s also wedding photography for me. I don’t intend to get ‘beautiful pictures’. I take pictures that capture the tiny instants where those emotions that usually are not expressed aloud come to the surface. And I like details. And by details I don’t mean just flowers and shoes, I mean a smile, a look, the hair over a bride’s eyes… those are the details that make a wedding unique and that are worth preserving.
These are some of my favorite photographs that I’ve taken over the last years. I hope they speak to you and show you a little of how I see weddings.
