Aqua and red is a fun color combination. Take sugared cranberries, frost, holiday decor and throw in a pop of emerald green, and you have a festive palette for a winter wedding or celebration.
After naming my last inspiration board “light fall”, it was only logical to make another fall-inspired one, but this time darker and much more dramatic. My original idea was to create a board resembling a Dutch still life painting, but then I found these two beautiful autumn brides and I decide to include them. However, vegetables (don’t you just love the artichoke?) and the lush flowers are still defining elements of this vision of an elegant and dark fall wedding.
Last week I spotted this gorgeous fall bouquet on Style Me Pretty, part of a beautiful inspirational shoot from the Elizabeth Messina (floral design by Krista Jon).
Seeing the dark red flowers contrasting with the teal velvet sofa, I immediately thought of that this would translate perfectly into a fall outfit. This is not the first time that a wedding bouquet makes me think of an outfit, so I decide to introduce a new series here on Belle & Chic: From bouquet to outfit.
If you’re interested in fashion, art, interior design..or anything to do with colors, you will already have seen these. Yes, these are the colors Pantone has predicted to be the ones for spring 2013 and of course I needed to make a wedding inspiration board with my favorite combination.
Ahhhh, summer!!! I love summer for all the fresh and rich-tasting fruit it brings us, and I love summer weddings that incorporate those delicious treats into their theme.
