I am excited to share another gorgeous celebration by White Ribbon Boutique Events on the blog today!
Danae & Christos live in New York but both share Greek origins. They first met in high school and years later decided to get married on the beautiful island of Kefalonia in Greece, where the groom’s family comes from.
This wedding is a true mix of old and new, of tradition and style. The wedding planner tells me that traditional Greek musicians had the guests dancing until the early hours of the next morning…
From White Ribbon Boutique Events: The ceremony was held in a chapel dating back to the 1620s in the grounds of a private Medieval estate, which happens to be one of the very few preserved chapels in Greece with a typical mixed Ionian and Venetian architecture and murals dating from the 1800s.
Later on, the couple joined their guests for the wedding reception at a beachside venue overlooking the beautiful Ionian sea. The tables were decorated with blush, pink and cream peonies and many lace votives as the bride wanted a romantic décor.
