Noemi Jariod and Mireia Abras have teamed up before to style (Mireia) and shot (Noemi) flowers. This time they were joined by Barcelona bridal label L’Arca and the turn-of-the-century elegance of its 2016 wedding dress line and the outcome is nothing short of amazing.
Every look has its own color story, ranging from burgundy to lilac, and some of the shots feel almost poetic to me. The team was able to capture the sensuality and esthetics of the French Belle Epoque, the main inspiration behind the dress collection, and transport them to modern day without losing any of their appeal. Stunning.
“Belle Allure”, L’Arca‘s 2016 bridal collection, takes inspiration from the least fussy and most exuberant sides of the French Belle Epoque.
The dresses recall those of Art Nouveau Muses whose sensuality and melancholy came with a hint of transgression. Languorous silhouettes, plunging lines, and transparent fabrics harken back to Mucha’s advertising posters. Lace that reached its apogee in 1900 such as guipure and Valenciennes combines naturally with fabrics to transport us to the dream-world of Paris at the dawn of the century.
For determined and audacious brides who won’t give up their romantic and sensual side, and who enter their new lives with Belle Allure.
