Ethereal, whimsical, dreamy – just some of the words that come to mind when I look at this wedding’s photos held at Son Marriog near the the village of Deia situated at the Northern part of Mallorca. It literally looks like a walk in the clouds!
American college sweethearts Ana and Jenson took a different route on their hunt for the perfect wedding venue – they wanted to get married somewhere entirely new so only memories of their special day would remind them of the place. And what a gorgeous venue they picked for this occasion!
They found Bodas de Cuento to help them remotely plan their wedding – their request: make their wedding day elegant, beautifully romantic and filled with roses.
Check the blog post below beautifully photographed by Jimena Roquero with some notes from the bride on how they chose their venue and planned their wedding. You can also check Ana and Jenson’s pre-wedding engagement shoot here.
“I wore a lace gown and even though I had collected something new, old, something borrowed and blue, I decided the only piece of jewelry I wanted to wear was my engagement ring which my husband gave me nearly two years before.”
“We wanted the wedding to be whimsical, elegant, and beautifully romantic – with everything covered in roses and with the color tones of ivory, cream and blush.”
“We held our wedding ceremony at the historic 19th century manor, Son Marroig, located just before the village of Deia, and got married under its beautiful marble gazebo overlooking the Mediterranean Sea at sunset.”
“After the ceremony, we went to Hotel La Residencia for the reception. We had candlelit dinner under a ceiling of hanging hydrangeas and roses. After dinner, Jenson and I spent the rest of the night dancing in the middle of our family and friends as they waved sparklers and savored the last hours of the most magical day of our life.”
