A winter bridal editorial. Yes, my friends, that’s what I want to show you today, although it’s July.
For one, because this shoot is too beautiful to pass up for seasonal reasons. And secondly, because our Mediterranean beaches are beautiful in wintertime, too. So this might be an inspiration for some brides out there. The light is equally beautiful, but there are less people. It’s not too cold, but it’s calm and quiet. A winter wedding in Southern Europe can be a very romantic choice.
The photographers behind this editorial, Les Amis Photo, wanted to capture just that special atmosphere, romantic and nostalgic, that’s why they chose the sea in winter for this shoot:
From the photographers: “The location is the beach of Levanto, in Liguria, Italy, where the sun did not leave us for the whole day, ending in a beautiful sunset. The winter dress reveals the bride’s veil in the wind, and the lace elegantly covers shoulders and back. The bouquet of lilacs, buttercups and berries has the hot colours of the sun and the cold of the sea, like the delicate crown, soft on the hair ruffled by the wind. The rhythm is slow, and the moments are intimate like a relaxed reading of the pasts, like a 18th century novel.”
