When I heard that wedding photographer Claire Morgan, whose work has been featured here before, is now based in Mallorca, I immediately took the chance to pick her brain about venues and destinations on the Balearic island. Here are her top three Mallorca wedding venue recommendations, of course illustrated with her beautiful photos. Thank you for sharing your insights, Claire!
1. Can Simoneta
From Claire Morgan: “Can Simoneta is a 5 star hotel in the north east of Mallorca, set on a cliff overlooking the bay of Canyamel. It is a small boutique hotel with a handful of rooms so perfect for having that secluded wedding having the venue all to yourself. It is also a great venue for larger weddings (the wedding I photographed there had 180 guests) as the wedding reception takes place outdoors on the lawns offering spectacular views over the cliff top.”
2. Cap Rocat
Says Claire: “For a truly lavish wedding Cap Rocat is the place. It is a former military fortress located in the the bay of Palma so truly unique in its character and charm. It offers panoramic views across the bay, a moroccan style tent for the drinks reception, a stunning terrace for the wedding dinner (also ideal for larger weddings of around 100 guests) and an old military bunker for the after-party. The Cap Rocat Sea club, a short walk or drive down towards the sea, is also a great spot for your after wedding brunch.”
From Claire: “Biniorella is located in Camp De Mar and is a genuine Mallorcan house renovated in Mediterranean style with beautiful gardens overlooking the golf course of Andratx. The blue doors and shutters add their character and charm and is a wonderful venue for a provencal outdoor wedding dinner then heading into the open-air inner courtyard for the band and party. The perfect summer wedding.”
