All you romantic and pink-loving classic brides out there, this one is for you. Xenia, originally from Catalonia and blogger at Olivia’s Choice, and Jeff, were classmates at City University of Hong Kong. Cupid struck after two years of studying together, and they’ve been together ever since. Their blush nuptials were held at La Garriga de Castelladral, a beautiful country venue near Xenia’s hometown and about 40 min. from Barcelona. Noemi Jariod was behind the lens to capture this classic affair and the exceptionally pretty bride… Enjoy!
“It’s not common at all in Spain to have bridesmaids, yet I couldn’t imagine my wedding without my best friends my side, and I’m so glad I did have bridesmaids, it’s one of the best memories I keep of my big day. It seems bridesmaids are becoming increasingly popular these days, and I couldn’t be happier about it, it really makes the whole experience sky rocket to another level!”
Did you notice that the layered bows on the bride’s vintage Louboutins match her blush sash?
The bride on finding the venue: I did my research online and narrowed it down to 2 places. As soon as I stepped in La Garriga de Castelladral, I knew that was it.
Any advice for destination brides-to-be? Says Xenia: “You need to be ok with the fact that not all your friends are going to make it to your wedding if you go for a destination wedding. Only 10 people came from my husband’s side, which we were totally cool with, considering how Hong Kong is on the other side of the planet!”
