This is one of those weddings that makes me want to get married again, in the Mediterranean of course.
Daniel and George tied the knot in Monemvasia, a town located on a small island off the east coast of the Peloponnese in Southern Greece. The venue is stunning, to say the least, and don’t even get me started on the scenery and the amazing light!! But have a look at these images from Adonis Kekidakis and see for yourselves…
I didn’t promise too much about the venue and scenery, did I?
Loving the string art seating chart, ingenious idea!
Dan and George on getting married in the Mediterranean: “We visited Monemvasia in 2010, and fell in love with the area, with a landscape combining olive groves, vineyards, the azure Aegean and the unique castle on a rock. It was the perfect spot to show off just what Greece has to offer to our friends and family, and is a beautiful setting for a wedding.”
And of course the thumbprint tree as a guestbook… and oldie but goodie!
“The Kinsterna is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at, with brilliant service, warm and professional staff, a chef worthy of a Michelin star, and stunning architecture. We felt this was the ideal spot for a wedding, and even enquired about it on our stay when it opened in 2010”.
White candles, bouquets with protea flowers and delicate ivy decorated the beautiful reception area.
Dining just a few inches above the water lilies… one of the may details that struck me about this Monemvasia venue.
