This wedding is such a labor of love. Bea & Guille got married at the family finca in Teruel, Spain. And, with the help of wedding planners Bodas de Cuento, transformed the place into a rustic wedding venue, full of Spanish flair and personality. Marcos Sánchez, one of my favorite wedding photographers in Spain, captured all the fun and the beauty… What’s is your favorite detail of this perfect summer affair?
From the bride: “We wanted a personal wedding in a beautiful setting that would remain in our guests’ memory forever. Our family finca in Val de Ejerique, Teruel, surrounded by olive trees, was the perfect place. It wasn’t easy to adapt the finca to such a big event, but it was worth the effort.”
On their wedding planners: “After deciding on our family finca as the wedding venue, we knew we needed help with the décor and organization. We had seen Bodas de Cuento – The Wedding Designers‘ incredible work at the reception of friends of ours and it was clear to us that they had to be our planners. We even moved the date so that it matched the only free weekend they had left for that season!”
This couple ensured that their guests kept cool under the Mediterranean sun while waiting for the ceremony to start, offering parasols, straw hats, fans and cold lemonade!
The reception décor was inspired by traditional Spanish food and had a rustic, “farmer’s market” vibe to it. Bodas de Cuento styled it all using authentic pieces from the finca. Loving it!
Oh, and there was a temporary tattoo station…
… while the little (and not-so-little) ones had the possibility to cool off in the pool.
Any advice for brides planning their wedding right now? “Pick a venue that is special to you, and most importantly seek professional help from wedding planners, so that you can relax and enjoy your day, knowing that everything will run smoothly. I also recommend choosing a good photographer. We didn’t place too much importance on that issue until Wendy of Bodas de Cuento showed us Marcos Sánchez‘ work. It was super easy and natural to work with him and we’re just thrilled with the end result!”
