Today I am whisking you away to Italy for a fun vintage wedding, beautifully photographed by my friend Lelia Scarfiotti.
Louisa and Chris got married at a 12th century Tuscan castle, how about that for a wedding venue? Louisa chose an amazing vintage tea length dress that I am absolutely in love with… And the mint Vespa scooter is definitely a reason to get married in Italy, isn’t it?
Says the bride:
“We were recommended Castello di Modanella through a friend as a great destination for a mini break. By the time we had the opportunity to travel to Italy and stay at this wonderful location we had become engaged. It seemed the most natural decision to get married there as it had a combination of all the things we love. Great scenery, countryside, food and wine. For our guests it took very little persuasion for them to travel from the UK to Tuscany for our wedding.”
“Celebrating our wedding in Italy was a great experience for everyone as it allowed us and our guests to experience both a holiday and a wedding. It also allowed us to ease into the big day without the usual stresses that we would have experienced back at home.
This whole experience was fantastic and will remain in our thoughts for the rest of our lives.”
